The Bucharest University of Economic Studies aimed through the Academic Document Management System to restructure and improve its academic management system by implementing a collaborative software meant to improve its current activities and administrative performance.
Ascenta IT Services developed a web-based standardized and flexible information management system by keeping at its core the academic processes and activities. Therefore we created and implemented an information system supporting the collaborative work through a Document Management System.
The project standardizes the work procedures through electronic documents and, at the same time, standardizes and implements document flows using modern features provided by the platform’s software components.
The web portal is the gateway to the information sources, applications, databases, and services and is a flexible and modular document management system, capable of successfully working with a high number of users.
Currently, there are approximately 1.000 users that benefit from the software platform categorized under different access roles.
One of the most important needs of the client was to ensure that the software platform integrates with the other applications and systems used within the institution. Taking into account that our specialists continuously develop their know-how, the integration of the existing infrastructure (applications which operate on various technologies and on different versions) with the developed platform was successfully achieved.
