eDemos - National Statistics Information System

Considering the increase of the local public administrations’ need to provide various statistical information, the National Statistics Institute has requested us to develop and implement a national statistics information system that improves the public administration’s capacity and measures the administrative performance through databases, tools, methodologies, standardized reports and statistical techniques.

Easy quantification of the public authorities’ performance in various fields of interest and improvement of the strategic decisionmaking process based on the collected information.

About

The services developed through this project provided a complex and integrated system for collecting data and reporting statistical indicators, based on worldwide leading technologies. The project provided a unique statistical information foundation, adapted to the specific requirements of some of the public authorities, by covering the online collection of statistical information through questionnaires and by accessing administrative sources.

The system provides standardized tools and methodologies allowing the collection, analysis, aggregation and interpretation of statistical data. It contains a web portal, statistical database, data warehouse, and GIS features which contribute to the design, development and implementation of a unified information system at national level.

The National Statistics Information System contains high quality data concerning population, living conditions, social welfare, environment, agriculture and economy available with geographical coordinates.
